Though Brumbies have had phenomenal wins in Super Rugby games, but their losses are being counted as well in the latest round of investigations that are being held among the different teams of Australia and other countries that participate in Super Rugby.
Most Super Rugby teams are awaiting news as investigations are being completed and decisions being arrived at regarding the changed structure of Super Rugby. There is planned to have 15 teams instead of 18 in the revised structure. There is also a new game coming up against New Zealand that Australian rugby fans can look forward to. Indeed, New Zealand continues to grow in strength and as a superior rugby nation as compared to local counterparts. The Brumbies however, have the potential to succeed, but their opponent team also has a brimming confidence that might be difficult to overcome.
The Australian teams have had games against New Zealand which have not ended well so far this year. The five franchises of Australia had six wins from the opening five rounds in the competition The Reds have been successful against the Sharks with a game score of 28-26. The purple patch that Australia saw in 2013 as well as 2014 were several wins against foreign nations including New Zealand. However the results have been floundering since 2015 and 2017 has also begun with a series of defeats. The Reds are coming back from Argentina and would be playing against the Hurricanes in Brisbane but their key man Quade Cooper would not be present. The Rebels would also be traveling to Dunedin this year to play against the Highlanders. It remains to be seen if Australia can pick up the pieces and put together fresh strategies and motivation among the teams and players in a better year’s performance this year.
